About PMRD

Portland Men's Roller Derby (PMRD) is a roller derby league located in Portland, Oregon. Our organization is dedicated to playing and promoting the sport of roller derby here in Portland, as well as nationwide.

The league was founded in August of 2009, and started out as a handful of guys skating in a parking lot. We've grown a lot since then, and are now comprised of over 50 skating members!

Portland Men's Roller Derby is comprised of three home teams: the Bone Daddies, the Holy Roll'N Empire, and the Honey Badgers; we also have a nationally-ranked travel team — the Bridgetown Menace — featuring our top 20 skaters.

PMRD is a proud member of the Men's Roller Derby Association (MRDA), a national coalition of men's roller derby leagues. Our sport and style of play mirrors current Women's Flat Track Derby Association (WFTDA) standards including rules, gameplay, conduct and skill.

While PMRD is not officially affiliated with the Rose City Rollers WFTDA league here in Portland, we are happy to consider them our big sister organization, and share many coaching and officiating resources. We support them and they support us!

PMRD is open to all men age 18 and older. Our league is made up of men and women from a wide variety of skating backgrounds and experience levels, and we welcome all newcomers. We are non-discriminatory, and we welcome potential skaters of all skill levels. So if you want to skate, there's a place for you here in our league!
