PMRD Guest Skater Policy and Procedure

Guest Skater policy is in place to develop a core of experienced volunteers, support a strong multidisciplinary PMRD volunteer base and to offer skating opportunities to visiting skaters from other leagues. All Guest Skaters are welcome, within the parameters of this policy. There is a limit to Volunteer Skater use of training resources during limited PMRD league practice times and opportunities.

Guest Skater
All guest skaters must make arrangements for participation with coaching staff or Guest Skater Liaison prior to any scheduled practice. (min 24hr notice)

Volunteer Skater
The amount and type of participation available for Volunteer Skaters will depend on PMRD League attendance, time available and need.

Volunteers will be given "Specific jobs". These can be on or off skates and may include but are not limited to warm ups, partner drills, new skater basics, participation in scrimmage, NSO, Referee, administrative, etc.

Level of participation for volunteer or guest skaters will be evaluated based on skill and experience. Volunteer duties may be assigned by coaching staff on an as needed basis. On-site coaches will have final say as to a volunteer or guest skaters level of participation. Disruptive guests or volunteers will be asked to leave.

Specific practice schedule and participation levels:

  • Tuesday - Practice (when in session) is open to Guest Skaters and Volunteers with specific jobs. Prior contact (24 hour notice) with Coaching staff or Guest Skater Liaison is required. (Suggested $5 donation)
  • Thursday - Practice is closed to Guest Skaters and Volunteers without prior contact with Coaching Staff and specific jobs. Space and time are extremely limited at this practice; therefore the priority is PMRD league members. (Suggested $5 donation)
  • Sunday - Practice is open to Guest Skaters and Volunteers with specific jobs. Prior contact with coaching staff or Guest Skater Liaison is required. (Suggested $5 donation)
